The Chef In Jeans is a culinary hub specifically designed for young single men. After years working in the industry and staying on the dating scene I’m no longer surprised how often I meet women who claim they can’t cook. What surprised me was how often I met men who said the same thing. Women dont cook, men dont cook, so who’s cooking?
When I stepped back and evaluated the culinary landscape as it was portrayed for those outside of the business I noticed something. Almost all literature out there is geared towards women or older people.
None of the articles, magazines, or books I could find specifically targeted a very large group, single men between the ages of 18-45. This is what I set out to do. I want to create a compendium of information that is written specifically to be understood by young, single, professional men. Rather then using flowery rhetoric or cold jargon I want to present everything in real terms that any man can relate too.
As well as creating a style that is easily digested by men I also want to focus the topics and recipes towards men. Lets face it, the average guy doesn’t want to know how to back cupcakes or make a strawberry salad. With emphasis on heartiness, flavor, and healthfulness I’d like to present a collection of recipes and knowledge that would allow men to prepare and cook the kind of food they like with little or prior experience.
